The NJHS will be fundraising next Monday through Friday for AdoptaPlatoon. This organization collects items for our men and women in the service and sends them overseas. The NJHS will have 2 collection sites – one box in Guidance and one box in the main lobby near the main office. If you would like to contribute, the following items are needed: Soap/body wash; Chapstick; Dental floss; Mouthwash; Q-tips; Toothpaste; Tooth brushes.

Calling all creative students! The C.A.R.E.S. Committee is looking for a brand new logo!! Any student is welcome to submit a drawing or computer generated artwork. Please submit your logo to either Mrs. Petersen in room 263 or Mr. Perry in the Mac Lab. DEADLINE IS MAY 24th. We look forward to seeing all your great designs!

The Selection Classification test for Interscholastic sports will be held at the Mahopac High School on the following dates: May 29, May 30th and June 3rd. at 2:10 p.m. in the new gym. You must have the following paperwork to Mrs. Quartararo, Middle School Nurse, BEFORE you can be tested; Sports Permission, Selection Classification Permission slip and Concussion form.

Bit by remarkable bit, Mahopac Middle School students are transforming the school's science wing hallways into an earth science wonderland. With an ambitious mural project, first launched in the spring of 2010, students from sixth to eighth grade are turning three stories of monotone hallways in the school's science wing into vibrant, multicolored galleries of landscapes and seascapes, fish, fowl, flora and fauna. Backpack for Kids: Hurricane Sandy Relief Help
Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Maier collected 140 backpacks--many of which were donated by MS and HS students, and delivered them to children in the Rockaways who had lost everything due to Hurricane Sandy.

The teachers at the middle school would like to THANK the PTO for showing how much they CARE for us with a lovely luncheon on Friday the 17th. It was very much appreciated.
