    Teens, Tweens, and Technology Presentation

On Monday March 23rd parents in grades 4 through 8 attended a presentation by Michael Nerney, a nationally renowned speaker on the subject of substance abuse prevention and adolescent brain development.  On Tuesday March 24th Mr. Nerney was able to connect with the 8th grade students in a manner that was entertaining as well as educational. Titled “Teens, Tweens & Technology”, the presentation posted below focuses on the effects of social media and the use of cellphones on adolescent mental health. ATTENTION!
Mrs. Conciatore's class had a parent visitor, Mrs. Lynch (from District Office) who was in the Army. She spoke to the class about her experience in the military. In December our class, along with Mrs. Arocho's and Mrs. Polimino's classes, collected candies and snacks to send to soldiers who are overseas currently serving our country.  This presentation was a culmination of our CARES project.
